About me...

Location:  I am based in the heart of the South Cotswolds, between Cirencester and Swindon.

My Areas of Experience:

Emotional, cognitive, psychological, social, interpersonal and neurological issues:  including specialised experience with clients with acquired brain injury, anxiety, depression, bereavement, adoption/looked after children, trauma, abuse, autism, learning disabilities, dementia.

As an Allied Health Professional (AHP) Music Therapist trained at Masters level, I am registered the British Association for Music Therapy (BAMT) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

As a musician, I specialise in voice, piano, guitar and violin and I include improvisation, songwriting, sonic mapping (creating an identity reaffirming life track for the client), guided imagery with music and active listening techniques.  I offer sound meditations as a catalyst to unlock emotion.   I have also witnessed the profound impact of client involvement with the sound meditation instruments, in particular with individuals who have acquired brain injuries.

I feel very passionately that clients need to feel safe, heard, good enough and hopeful.  These elements are widely recognised as key to the success of any therapeutic approach.

Working with clients of all ages, I aim to offer a safe environment where people can explore the challenges being faced.  Music becomes a bridge for emotional expression, often more accessible than finding words.
